Every year, through its 30 Under 30 and 40 Under 40 ceremonies, Long Island Business News (LIBN) honors bright and dynamic young professionals across Long Island who have made significant strides in their careers. The 30 Under 30 award recognizes 30 professionals who have made remarkable achievements in their career before turning 30, while the 40 Under 40 award recognizes 40 accomplished professionals under the age of 40.

He is also a Levermore Global Scholar, Adelphi's innovative academic community dedicated to preparing students to become global thinkers and leaders in a changing world. As a teenager, Olivia Maybee, a senior, always had a passion for activism. She was born in Buffalo, New York, and grew up on the Cattaraugus territory, one of three territories that make up the Seneca Nation, located just south of Buffalo.

Growing up, Sarafina Bush ’12 always loved dance and theater. It seems preordained, as the daughter of Adelphi sociology professor Melanie Bush, PhD, she was named after the title character in the musical Sarafina!, which depicts the story of a group of South African students brave enough to participate in the Soweto riots against apartheid.
