We can’t wait to have all our Panthers come home for the 6th Annual Spirit Weekend.

Join us for a host of activities and special events across our Garden City Campus. Alumni can reconnect with old friends and classmates and see what’s new on campus. Parents and families can create new memories on campus with their students. Everyone is sure to enjoy all Adelphi has to offer during this can’t-miss weekend!

Featuring favorite events such as the Spirit Carnival, Adelphi 5K and Kids Fun Run, Greek Sunday and Casino Night.

New events this year include a special performance by an original RENT cast member, Anthony Rapp, the Alumni Brunch, Adelphi Oktoberfest and so much more.

Friday, October 14

Students, staff, alumni and faculty are invited to volunteer at Crossroads Farms at Grossman’s where volunteers work side by side with farmers to learn about organic growing methods, plant care, and local food. Activities include planting, harvesting, farm stand stocking, and gardening, as well as many other opportunities that arise during the growing season.

Optional transportation will be provided from the University Center at 10:30 am.

Join The Center For Community Engagement and the Student Activities board on the Flag Pole Lawn and participate in fun activities like building your own panther, check out our photo booth or have a custom keychain made!  We hope to see you there!  Supplies are limited so don’t miss out! Attend services conducted by Rabbi Lipsker  followed by a special kosher reception in our Sukkah located on the rose garden lawn across from the library in celebration of Shabbat.  It’s sure to be a wonderful evening with family, friends, and delicious food.  Please register to attend the dinner.

Adelphi’s Spirit Weekend Panther Carnival is back and it has something for everyone!

Registration will be open soon for all-inclusive wristbands which includes full access to carnival rides, catering, and food trucks, family fun activities and much more! $15 for current students, staff and faculty and $25 for alumni, family, and friends ($30 at the door).

Additional activities available for purchase on site: Games booths hosted by student organizations for fundraisers.  The Prestigious Panther Coronation will take place at 2:30 p.m. on stage.  Adelphi Spirit Displays will be showcased next to the carnival. Unable to attend the carnival but still want to join in the fun?  Sign up to decorate your car from home and upload a picture ahead of time for your peers to vote on instagram! Vote for your favorite display by visiting the showcase before 2:00 p.m.  This family-friendly event is open to all!

 Celebrate Spirit Weekend with the Center for Student and Community Engagement as we go on a food tour of Chinatown and Little Italy! Tickets are $20 which includes your ticket to the tour round trip optional transportation from Adelphi University.   Check-in will begin at 9:00 AM on October 16 in the University Center lobby and the bus will leave the university at 9:30 AM sharp.

Please note that this is a pre-ordered event with the company and that food allergies cannot be accommodated.

Celebrate Spirit Weekend with the Center for Student and Community Engagement as we go on a trip to experience RISE NY! The 46-seat flight simulation ride is the first of its kind in Manhattan. You will be lifted 30 feet into the air and take in the splendor of NYC while suspended inside a 180-degree, 40-foot projection dome featuring 8K aerial footage that creates the sensation of flight. Tickets are $15 each and includes round trip optional transportation from Adelphi.

Check-in for this event will begin at 9:00am on October 16th in the University Center lobby and the bus will leave the university at 9:30 am sharp.

Join members of the Adelphi Community together as you walk to raise awareness and fund to beat cancer. The Interfaith Center will be hosting a Catholic Mass. Mass will be celebrated by our university Catholic Chaplain and Minister.  Immediately following the mass there will be light refreshments.  Please come and join us for the celebration of mass and fellowship.
