In these three workshops, you will learn to understand the critical skill of emotional intelligence (EI) in school leadership.

You’ll learn to identify five domains of EI, and examine personal leadership qualities that are most effective for coordinating social emotional learning (SEL) in schools to facilitate positive school climate. You will be exposed to the current neuroscientific research on the ways emotions affect behavior and success. You’ll learn effective communication and transparency in decision-making, explore equity and caring, and learn the essential components of team building. Ultimately, you will gain the knowledge, skills and understanding to better implement school reopening plans that incorporate social emotional learning supports for all members of the community.
