This course will examine the impact of contemporary and inter-generational trauma on couple relationships in order to allow the couple to create an emotionally safe and secure relationship.

Couples in which at least one partner suffers from the impact of complex childhood trauma often encounter unique difficulties with physical contact, intimacy, sexuality, communication, and trust. Their relationship dynamic may be marked by reenactments of past traumatic relational patterns.
