Student Clubs and Organizations
Students in either the political science or international relations degree programs can join clubs to gain hands-on experience, build professional connections and explore topics in law, policy and international affairs.
Faculty and Student Research
Research is central to your experience in Political Science or International Relations. Our faculty members are experts in areas including public policy, the United Nations and European Union, non-citizens working in the food industry, and inequality and partisan politics. All are active researchers and encourage original inquiry and take an active role in guiding students in exploring historical and contemporary issues and analyzing primary sources.
As a political science or international relations student, you’ll have opportunities to present your work at Adelphi’s annual Scholarship and Creative Works Conference, participate in public forums or conferences, and engage with policy organizations—helping you build your professional network and real-world experience.
Through the SPARK Center (Scholars Pursuing Arts, Research and Knowledge), undergraduate students can find funding, expert mentorships, and resources to turn innovative ideas into life-changing research projects.

Majoring in political science or international relations gives you the skills law schools value most—critical thinking, analytical writing and a strong understanding of law, policy and global issues. Our programs combine rigorous coursework with personalized mentoring to prepare students for the next step.
Many of our graduates have gone on to attend prestigious law schools and have even submitted Amicus Briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court.
