Students wishing to request a SEVIS transfer must be in valid F-1 status at the time of the transfer request, and begin your new program within 5 months of the transfer or program completion date. The transfer request must be made within 60 days of the program end date. To request a transfer out, students must log onto your eCampus account, locate the International Services portal and submit a request to transfer out. Once the completed request has been received, please allow for 5 business days to process. You will receive an email once the transfer release is complete.
The student is responsible for submitting the following requirements as part of the request:
- Proof of admission to request SEVP approved school (admissions letter or admissions email)
- SEVIS transfer form or notification from school no form is necessary (the student must sign this form to provide permission to release the SEVIS record)
- If there is no transfer form, the student must indicate this
- Requested SEVIS release date
