Meet Our Staff
As the director of international services, Wendy Badala, MA ’20, serves as the primary designated school official (DSO) and responsible officer overseeing university compliance responsibilities and federal regulations for international students and scholars at all university campus locations. Wendy holds an MA in Psychology from Adelphi University and has 20 years of extensive training and experience in the field of international education and immigration advisement.
As the international student advisor, Heesuk Chae, serves as the designated school official (DSO) and alternate responsible officer for providing regulatory guidance and support for F-1 and J-1 international students and scholars at Adelphi University. Heesuk holds an MA in International Education from New York University and is uniquely qualified in the field of international education and immigration advisement.
As the administrative assistant of international services and the center for international education, Rosemary Bradshaw provides professional support and services to the international student and scholar community. Beginning her journey at Adelphi in 2002, Rosemary has received the President’s Award for Excellence and serves as a Steward in the Local 153, OPEIU Union. Rosemary is dedicated to the development and success of the international student community.
An international student from Bermuda, Luke is the graduate assistant for international services providing direct support to the office and to the international student and scholar community. Luke holds a BA in Business Administration Management from Adelphi University and is a current graduate student in the Global MBA Program at the Manhattan Center, specializing in Entrepreneurship. Luke is a Captain of the Adelphi Varsity Tennis Team, and is active in multiple recreational sports.
An international student from Brazil, Caio is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. As an International Studies major, with minors in French and Peace Studies, Caio is planning to work in education post-graduation. He is a Newman Civic Fellowships winner, a member of the Levermore Global Scholars (LGS) program and serves as the Secretary for the LGS Student Leadership Council. Caio is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and Italian, in addition to basic Mandarin and German.
An international student from Myanmar (also known as Burma), Agga is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Agga is a Graphic Design major and a member of the Levermore Global Scholars (LGS) program. An active student leader who enjoys artistic passions such as photography and drawing, Agga has found his home away from home in International Services and hopes other students connect with the office.
An international student from Kazakhstan, Madina is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. As a Marketing major, Madina plans to work in the field of digital advertisement following graduation. Passionate about world diplomacy and political science, Madina enjoys math, reading, and debating, and is responsible for the office social media updates.
An international student from Brazil, Henrique is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Henrique is a Business Administration and Management major with specializations in Human Resources Management and Finance. A player on the Adelphi Varsity Men’s Tennis Team, Henrique describes himself as an “individual born in a small Brazilian town, but is seeking to have a big impact in the world”. Prior to Adelphi, he attended high school at Montverde Academy, and enjoys learning about cultures, customs, and beliefs.
