Community Interest Groups
The offices of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and Human Resources launched Adelphi Community Interest Groups for faculty and staff in December 2022 to help deepen our employees’ sense of belonging and connection to the University and each other.
Community Interest Groups for Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff who share an affinity for these specific interests and experiences are welcome to join a Community Interest Group:
- Employees of color
- LGBTQIA+ employees
- Employees who serve as caregivers
- Employees who are new to Adelphi or in their current role for three years or less
- Employees who are also students
We welcome feedback and ideas for more groups—please share your thoughts with us by emailing audiversity@adelphi.edu.
Meeting Format and Frequency
Meetings are monthly and in a hybrid format to improve accessibility for all employees.
In-person meetings will take place in Adelphi University’s Multicultural Center on the third floor of the Ruth S. Harley University Center. A Zoom option will be provided each month for each meeting.
