This annual program is an intensive writing workshop where high school juniors and their teachers can experience the power of arts-based learning.
The Adelphi University College of Education and Health Sciences, in partnership with best-selling author and Adelphi graduate, Alice Hoffman ’73, presents the Adelphi University Alice Hoffman Young Writers Retreat.
This year we are looking forward to returning to an in-person retreat. We are excited about the lineup of guest authors and will be sharing more in the weeks to come. We have some big surprises!
The Retreat will take place in-person from July 10 to 14, 2023 (Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.).
The online application deadline is May 15, 2023.
The five-day summer retreat features creative writing workshops with Adelphi faculty, accomplished writers and artists, and English education graduate students. All admitted students receive a full program scholarship.
