Post Graduate Certificate in Addictions
Adelphi University School of Social Work Department of Continuing Education and Professional Development is offering Master’s level professionals in social work and related behavioral health fields the opportunity to complete the 350 clock hour educational requirement to apply for the NYS OASAS credential in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC-T).
Social Work Practice Fellows: A Professional Development Program for Social Work Supervisors of Direct Practice Across the Life Course
This postgraduate certificate program provides intensive training on social work supervision of direct practice across the life course. This fall, the Social Work Practice Fellows Program will be conducted live, via Zoom. Each content area will be presented in 2 three-hour live sessions, from September 2024 through February 2025.
Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Expressive Arts in Counseling
This program will span over 5-months during the calendar year from January 15, 2026 through May 21, 2026. Participants will engage with six core expressive arts modalities—visual art, writing/poetry, music, drama, dance/movement, and psychodrama—and participate in integrative, topic-focused sessions that explore their application with specific populations and clinical themes.
Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Justice for Social Workers: Climate Work is Social Work
The course, developed by the Institute for Social Work and Environmental Justice, will incorporate practical and actionable curriculum for social workers, across the practice spectrum by addressing the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable populations.
The Adelphi University School of Social Work is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board as an approved provider of continuing education for social workers, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, CASAC, and creative arts therapists.
