Adelphi University School of Social Work Department of Continuing Education and Professional Development is offering Master’s level professionals in social work and related behavioral health fields the opportunity to complete the 350 clock hour educational requirement to apply for the NYS OASAS credential in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC-T).
Social Work Practice Fellows: A Professional Development Program for Social Work Supervisors of Direct Practice Across the Life Course
This postgraduate certificate program provides intensive training on social work supervision of direct practice across the life course. This fall, the Social Work Practice Fellows Program will be conducted live, via Zoom. Each content area will be presented in 2 three-hour live sessions, from September 2023 through February 2024.
Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Expressive Arts in Counseling
This program will span over 10-months during the calendar year from September 29, 2023 through June 28, 2024. Participants will experience expressive arts modalities as well as multimodal integrative special topic sessions addressing work with children/adolescents, life transitions and aging, substance use disorders and trauma-informed care, and arts-based applications to cases and supervision as well as for closure and processing loss.
Postgraduate Certificate in Environmental Justice for Social Workers: Climate Work is Social Work
The course, developed by the Institute for Social Work and Environmental Justice, will incorporate practical and actionable curriculum for social workers, across the practice spectrum by addressing the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable populations.
