Adelphi offers more than 60 graduate and doctoral programs across its schools and colleges. Research is a large part of these programs, as students learn to master their fields of study and build competence as practitioners, educators and scholars.

At Adelphi, professional and research experience often allows graduate students to make a positive impact on local residents and people around the world. For example, health sciences master’s students can participate in adult fitness and after-school programs. Not only do these programs serve a community need, they also allow faculty researchers to measure effectiveness of activities for older adults or children with obesity, as two examples.

Health professions programs provide vital services to underserved populations in various health clinics located on campus. Business students can work on research projects that benefit the local economy, such as small businesses.

Graduate Student Research Support

Adelphi offers our students research support in many ways, including regular workshops with topics like Academic Research with Google, Managing Your Research, Pubmed Basics and Meet Your Librarian. Other opportunities include funding for professional development, such as attending regional, national and international conferences.
