Summer classes at Adelphi University provide college and graduate students with more possibilities and a unique opportunity to get ahead, stay on track or catch up while still enjoying some downtime during the summer.

Types of Online Instruction

Online synchronous: real-time, scheduled class meetings via videoconference (e.g., Zoom or Google Hangouts)

Online asynchronous: no scheduled class meetings (e.g, all coursework is completed in Moodle with due dates scheduled by the instructor)

Summer II Student Services - Office of Academic Services and Retention: We will continue to provide academic advisement remotely. Students can email oasr@adelphi.edu to request virtual appointments. We will schedule open drop-in Zoom office hours.
Summer II Student Services - Information Technology (IT): Our dedicated Help Desk staff are available to help with all your IT needs. We will have several staff members on site to assist with classroom support and faculty training. To contact our team, please refer to the IT support page which provides a link to our Live Chat service as well as lists our hours of operation. The physical Help Desk will not be open to walk-ins/visitors for Summer II due to library closure. However, we will be able to hold virtual one on one meetings by appointment in addition to remote support.
Summer II Student Services - Learning and Writing Centers: The Learning and Writing Centers will continue to offer one on one and small group tutoring sessions online through our scheduling platform (WCOnline) accessed through E-Campus. Sessions may involve moving onto another platform--like Zoom or GoBoard--if those other platforms improve session efficacy, for example, by allowing screen-sharing or for better equation writing and graphing. No physical services are planned at this time.
Summer II Student Services - Libraries: Adelphi Libraries continue to support faculty and students remotely. For research assistance, please visit the Libraries web site and click on Ask or Meet with a Librarian. Questions about library accounts or access to physical materials can be sent to userservices@adelphi.edu. All Libraries are closed to patrons, but we have a limited number of staff on campus to process requests.
Summer II Student Services - Office of the Registrar:  All customer interactions occur remotely.  Customers can visit the Registrar web site and can contact us at registrar@adelphi.edu.  We have six essential employees who visit campus on a rotating basis to perform certain functions that cannot be performed remotely, but the office remains closed to the public.
