A Year of Extraordinary Achievements

The 2024–2025 President’s Report: A Year of Extraordinary Achievements tells the story of a community that is consistently raising the bar, transforming lives and making a global impact. From record-breaking fundraising and rising national rankings in academic programs and social mobility to excellence in athletics and student career outcomes, this is the story of Adelphi University and the people who make it all possible.

Aligned with the three overarching goals of our Momentum 2 strategic plan, this comprehensive report demonstrates how groundbreaking initiatives came to life over the past year. Aside from breaking ground on our brand new Manhattan Center—offering flexible, in-demand graduate and professional programs designed to meet New York City’s greatest workforce needs—the launch of degrees in subjects such as artificial intelligence and machine learning positions our students to lead and understand the real-world impacts of emerging technologies and other trending fields.

The report also illustrates, through the triumph captured on the front cover, how our Panther student-athletes earned a second straight Presidents’ Cup as the best program in the Northeast 10 Conference, highlighted by back-to-back men’s lacrosse national championships. It celebrates the generous community members who propelled The Momentum Campaign: Extraordinary Impact toward the single-best fundraising year in Adelphi history as we approach our $100 million goal. It details why our College of Nursing and Public Health is a national leader in nursing education and how it continues to distinguish itself through research and innovation.

Ultimately, the President’s Report reflects the many ways Adelphi continues to embrace change and advance our mission, building on the foundation laid by faculty and staff who are relentless in their dedication to student success.

Highlights From the Adelphi University 2024–2025 President’s Report

Goal 1: Academic Distinction in Our Core Four – Page 8

  • State-of-the-art labs are a foundation of the educational experience at the College of Nursing and Public Health, and this year, its Clinical Education and Simulation Lab became the only lab on Long Island to receive national accreditation by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
  • Through the SPARK (Scholars Pursuing Arts, Research and Knowledge) Center, every Adelphi undergraduate student in any major has access to research opportunities. This year, paid SPARK Summer Research Fellowships were awarded to students majoring in dance, psychology, computer science, international studies and business.
  • Adelphi’s Interdisciplinary Education and Training Experience (IDEATE) Fellowship earned a $2.3 million federal grant renewal from the Health Resources and Services Administration, providing significant stipends to graduate students in nursing and social work and empowering them to address critical behavioral health needs for youth in underserved areas throughout New York.

Goal 2: Inclusive Community and Connectivity—page 14

  • Adelphi’s second annual Writers & Readers Festival, created by bestselling author Alice Hoffman ’73, ’02 (Hon.), drew 400 attendees and featured a keynote conversation between actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her mother, Barbara Forste, about how the love of reading is passed down from mother to child, moderated by author, playwright and podcaster Adriana Trigiani.
  • A new program for Bridges to Adelphi alumni, symbolically named Bridges From Adelphi, aims to empower its neurodivergent graduates through career guidance, advocacy and inclusive partnerships with employers. Critical to this initiative and the future of Bridges is its new Board of Advisors, composed of eight highly engaged parents of Bridges graduates, other alumni and supporters of the University who help make connections to employers, offer mentorship and provide input on educational programs and experiences.
  • Adelphi’s Institute for Adolescent Trauma Treatment and Training is equipping more than 5,500 mental health professionals yearly with the tools to recognize and treat complex trauma. This crucial work is transforming the lives of vulnerable youth everywhere—from schools to juvenile justice systems—offering a path toward healing for those who need it most.

Goal 3: Smart Growth and Infrastructure—page 20

  • The University’s new Manhattan Center, which broke ground in April 2025, opens in Summer 2026 with programs designed in response to the urgent workforce needs of New York City and the region. It will occupy 51,000 square feet of space on the second, third and fourth floors of the building at 529 Fifth Avenue. Highly visible from street level, the center is just a short walk from Grand Central Terminal, subway and bus lines, Bryant Park, the Theater District and Rockefeller Center.
  • Adelphi publicly launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in its history in September 2024, and donors have answered the call. In the campaign’s first public year, donors from across the Adelphi community pushed the total raised by The Momentum Campaign: Extraordinary Impact, to more than $89 million, well within range of our $100 million goal in 2027.
  • By focusing on convenient scheduling, launching regular promotions as early as February and creating a more intuitive website, Adelphi summer classes set an enrollment record. Revenue increased by $2.1 million, with undergraduate enrollment up 33 percent, new transfer enrollment up 112 percent and visiting students up 27 percent.
