Adelphi students spent winter break in Portugal, blending sightseeing with giving back by volunteering to support local communities in need.

Adelphi’s College of Nursing and Public Health continues to make a global impact, strengthening communities near and far through education, innovation and leadership.

They come from India, China and Vietnam, Ghana and Uganda, Spain and Sweden, Paraguay and Peru, and 25 other countries—including Kazakhstan and Mongolia—from around the globe. They're the 330 international students who are at Adelphi continuing their education in our master's degree or PhD programs.

Chris Armas ’94, an All-American midfielder at Adelphi who later coached the women’s soccer team, has added one more accolade to his highly decorated athletic career. Now he’s been elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame and will be inducted in a ceremony in May.

The event recognized and celebrated second-year students dedicated to careers helping others communicate, as well as their families and alumni committed to student success.
