UNA - USA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference
Friday, February 10
9:00-5:00pm, United Nations, NYC

This day-long conference on "The UN in American Foreign Policy" is hosted by the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) and will feature leading international scholars, experts, ambassadors, UN officials, and NGO executive directors, etc. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Jeffrey Sachs from Columbia University. Students can attend for free.

This event is open to all Adelphi Students; LGS students are strongly encouraged to attend.

After the Storm: Film Screening and Q&A with James Lecesne
Monday, April 2
6:00 p.m.; Concert Hall (PAC)

After the Storm is a feature-length documentary film that follows a group of New York Broadway actors who were inspired to help the youth of New Orleans. They stage a musical theater production of the Broadway play "Once on this Island" with local teenagers at the St. Marks Community Center.The film follows the crew and the kids from auditions through performances and also includes the story of each young actor's life in the wake of Katrina. The story of the musical reflects the life in New Orleans post Katrina. James Lecesne, a member of the crew and producer of the film, will come to speak at the event.
