An F-1 student is an international student authorized to study at Adelphi University and enrolled in SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System).

J-1 Exchange Visitor
A J-1 Exchange Visitor is an individual approved to participate in a work- and study-based exchange program under the sponsorship of a U.S. Department of State-designated program. Activities may include teaching, lecturing, studying, observing, conducting research, consulting, or demonstrating special skills. J-1 visitors are enrolled in SEVIS.
