The purpose of the CPCS Diversity, Equity, Inclusiveness & Access Council (DEIA Council) is to create a space for civil but frank conversations that raise awareness and catalyze actions aimed at fostering an environment at CPCS in which everyone—students, faculty and staff—feels a sense of belonging and has equal opportunity to contribute and to develop their full potential.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, the DEIA Council will adopt an “open membership” model, meaning that any CPCS student, faculty or staff member may suggest agenda items and attend meetings. The format of the meetings is also open. For example, a given meeting might be devoted to discussion of a reading or video, or to identifying a problem and exploring solutions, or to a training session led by a guest expert.

Meetings will be held via Zoom, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, on the third Friday of each month, September through December and February through May.

Calls for agenda items will be sent to the CPCS community in advance of the meetings, and agenda items for upcoming meetings will be shared here and in email announcements.
