At the College of Nursing and Public Health, you’ll quickly find that life outside of the classroom is vibrant and diverse. You can join Student Nurses Acting for Progress (SNAP), our internal organization that discusses issues within the College. Or you can branch out to a state or national association. There are many resources to take advantage of.

Adelphi University Student Nurses Association

Adelphi University Student Nurses Association (AUSNA) is an organization composed of all students in the College of Nursing and Public Health. It was formed to bring constituents together to consider and discuss problems, issues and concerns affecting the College’s members. The organization stimulates interest and involvement in professional and social issues and provides an environment conducive for informal socialization among its members.

AUSNA is dedicated to furthering the study of nursing through meetings, special events and conferences. The association sponsors an annual career day/job fair and encourages members to attend statewide and national nursing conferences. The association is an important support system for students, arranging for student-to-student mentoring and offering assistance on issues relating to student life, nursing courses and University course requirements.
