Adelphi’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) supports students pursuing STEM, healthcare and licensed professional careers by providing academic support, mentoring, enrichment opportunities and professional development.

Our mission is to increase the number of economically disadvantaged students and others pursuing careers in mathematical, scientific, technological and health-related fields, as well as licensed professions, through academic support and experiential learning opportunities.

CSTEP students participate in academic enrichment and professional development experiences designed to support long-term success in STEM and health-related fields.

Who the Program Serves

The NYS Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program supports students who:

  1. are enrolled full-time at Adelphi University in a STEM program
  2. are New York State residents (or permanent residents)
  3. are economically disadvantaged and/or will benefit from academic enrichment
  4. demonstrate academic readiness (typically GPA of 2.5 or better)

Adelphi University’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program provides academic support, mentoring and expanded opportunities for students pursuing careers in STEM, healthcare and licensed professions.

Students also gain access to research experiences, professional development and industry connections.

Applications for CSTEP are mailed to eligible students at the start of the fall semester and returned to Adelphi’s Social Work Building, Room 121, on the Garden City, NY campus. Interested students may also call 516.237.8622 to request an application or learn more about eligibility requirements.
