Orientation Weekend is an Adelphi tradition.
Held right before the Monday start of classes, it’s a fun-filled, information-rich three days of events helping new students get acquainted with one another and learn what they need to know to make the most of their Adelphi experience.

Interim President Chris Storm, PhD, addresses new students at Matriculation Day at the conclusion of Orientation Weekend. Along with the provost, deans, students and the chair of the board of trustees, Dr. Storm officially welcomed the new class to Adelphi and offered advice to help students flourish at the University.

The Matriculation Day ceremony was held at the Center for Recreation and Sports.

Golden Opportunities is one of the many information sessions held over the weekend. It focuses on the many ways that new students can get involved in campus activities.

New students and PALs play flag football, part of the weekend’s Brown and Gold Games.

A runner with the football tries to elude seven defenders in a game of flag football held on Adelphi’s lacrosse and soccer field.

You don’t have to be a player to take part in the Brown and Gold Games.
