Public Safety Pink PatchDear Adelphi Community,

October is breast cancer awareness month and Adelphi’s Department of Public Safety and Transportation is thrilled to announce the fifth year of our Pink Patch initiative!

Since its launch in 2020 by Sergeant Gerry Lennon (retired), our Pink Patch has become a symbol of hope, awareness and community support. Each sticker helps raise vital funds for the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program, and sparks important conversations about early detection and access to support services.

We’re excited to continue this important effort with the Adelphi community. Here’s to five years!

Originally established through the School of Social Work in 1980, Adelphi’s Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program serves people around the country who are navigating breast cancer. Its mission is to educate, support, empower and advocate for breast cancer patients, professionals and the community.
