As a foundation for embracing our dual responsibility of transaction and service, while serving as your strategic partner, the Office of Human Resources is pleased to introduce the first phase of a new training and development certificate program focused on Service Excellence.

This certificate program, open to faculty and staff, is designed to help strengthen and heighten Adelphi’s culture of service by honing the leadership and skills of our colleagues in this area. I encourage you to consider pursuing the program which launches this Fall semester with the first two of four required workshops:

1. Introduction: Creating a Service Culture (2 hours)

This workshop will focus on how to improve the service culture in your position and department and apply positive strategies for building strong service relationships internally and externally.

2. Service Strategies (2 hours)

Learn to achieve outstanding service excellence in higher education today through a variety of individual and group activities. Develop the ability to implement the University’s strategies for service excellence in your department or unit, share service excellence best practices, and improve overall communication and interaction skills.
