Residential Community Application

I understand that this application does not guarantee me admittance in either of the First-Year Living-Learning Communities since there are limited available beds and spaces in the courses. I understand that applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

I understand that I must have paid the full housing deposit and applied for housing by May 1. (See How to Apply for Housing for more information.) If I fail to do so, I understand that I may not be eligible to live in either of these Communities or participate in Online Room Selection.

If I am not accepted into either of the First-Year Living-Learning Communities, I will participate in Online Room Selection June/July or I will be assigned a room on campus.

I understand that to live in and receive the benefits of the First-Year Living-Learning Communities, I am required to enroll and be an active participant in the following course: FYLLC First-Year Seminar Course Leadership and Service, and meet the other requirements of the assigned LLC. I will work with my advisor to select the appropriate First-Year Seminar Course or have my scheduled changed for me if I am selected for membership into one of the Communities.

If I should fail to meet the standards of the First-Year Living-Learning Communities, I understand that I will be required to move out of the First-Year Living-Learning Community hall, wing, or floor.

Students completing this Coed Housing agreement will be able to select spaces designated for coeducational living. Through this agreement, you will also be able to request roommates of your choosing without conditional barriers, when possible, this will allow students to live with any resident on campus.

First off in order to be considered for Coeducational Housing, you will have to qualify for housing selection. This means you must have your deposit in and be registered for classes by the Yearly Deadline. You must also fill out a housing selection application. On this application you must select Coed Housing as a preferred community living experience. You must also have signed this form below.

In order to ensure that technology allows for students to select in these spaces and can only be matched with other students who have agreed to the same community standards, the Office of Residential Life and Housing will make adjustments to your housing profile to allow you to participate in the Coed Housing Community. With this process, the system will identify you as "neutral." Please note that the Office of Residential Life does not believe all students who live in the Coed Housing community consider themselves neutral nor do we believe the default for students in this community. In order for our technology to allow for this process to allow autonomous selection, it requires one designation for all students. We acknowledge that this system is not perfect, but we hope this is an improvement to the system used previously.

As always we welcome any and all feedback to our processes. At the end of the semester, we will send out a survey that will ask about our processes including this one. Please provide honest and relevant feedback to this process so we can continue to shape an experience that matches our student population.

I understand that I must have paid the housing deposit, registered for classes, and have completed the separate housing application by August. If I am not accepted into the Greek Life and Social Fellowship Learning Community, I will participate in Online Room Selection or I will be assigned a room on campus.

I understand that to live in and receive the benefits of the Greek Life and Social Fellowship Learning Community, I am required to be an active participant in the non-credit seminar and on-floor programming. If I should fail to meet the standards of the Greek Life and Social Fellowship Learning Community, I understand that I will be required to move out of the Greek Life and Social Fellowship Learning Community hall, wing, or floor.
