Awards for High School Students
At Adelphi University, we celebrate more than grades. We recognize students who make a difference, demonstrate talent, and are preparing to shape their future. That’s why we offer distinguished awards for high school students to showcase accomplishments, creativity, vision, and commitment—and to take the next step toward college and beyond.
High School Poetry Prize
We invite all high school students to submit to the Adelphi University High School Poetry Prize, judged by faculty in the Adelphi English department. The winner of the prize will read at the Writers & Readers Festival.
Prize for Leadership
Awarded to high school juniors in Garden City, NY, who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a commitment to community service. This award recognizes students who lead by example and make a positive impact in their schools and communities.
Women’s Leadership High School Award
Awarded to high school juniors, this recognition provides a grant to support a student’s passion project. Recipients also receive three tickets to attend the Adelphi University Women’s Leadership Conference awards and keynote dinner—offering inspiration, networking and insight into leadership in action.
