VoiceThread is an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables students to build online presentations by adding images, documents, and videos, and other media to which other users can add comments for discussion.

The instructor may assign a VoiceThread activity as part of their course practice activities and graded assignments; or faculty can use VoiceThread to record a narrated PowerPoint Presentation.

Learning Activities for Voice Thread

A few examples of how instructors might choose to use Google Docs include…

  • Interactive Discussions
    • Have students participate in interactive discussions using VoiceThread. You can create a prompt related to the course material, and students can respond with audio or video comments. Encourage them to engage with each other’s responses, fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment.
  • Interactive Presentation Feedback
    • Assign presentation projects where students not only create multimedia presentations but also share them on VoiceThread for audience participation. Each student can incorporate images, slides, and audio narration to effectively convey their ideas. Encourage peers to interact by leaving audio or video comments, asking questions, or providing feedback on the presentations.
