Doctoral candidates are invited to be recognized at the 2024 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony on Monday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on our Garden City Campus.
This is a special ceremony only for those receiving doctoral degrees, held in lieu of Commencement, which is for those who have earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
We look forward to welcoming you and your guests (up to seven) to celebrate your academic accomplishments. Please arrive when doors open at 12:00 noon.
RSVP by May 10 to let us know if you will attend.

Apply for graduation and be in touch with your program director to share your biographical information for the Doctoral Hooding program no later than mid-March.
Academic Regalia
Academic regalia—tams, gowns and tassels—are required for candidates at Adelphi’s Doctoral Hooding ceremony. Order your regalia by April 18.
Questions about academic attire should be directed to the bookstore at bookstore@adelphi.edu.
Candidates should arrive at check-in completely dressed in regalia, except for hoods.

Parking and Arrival Details
When arriving at Adelphi’s Garden City campus for your Doctoral Hooding ceremony, please park in Parking Lot 2 (P2). Proceed into the lobby of the Performing Arts Center.
