When a couple reports "problems and communication", they are describing a symptom, not the cause of it.

Participants will learn how the three stage model prioritizes emotion and how emotion and emotional regulation organizes interactions. Through interactional exercises, role plays, lecture and video presentations, students will learn to track the negative cycle, calm the cycle and create bonding conversations. Students will learn that the Stage Two work of helping each partner to face their deepest fears, reach for their partner in vulnerability and ask for what they need is essential for lasting change.

This workshop is part of the Program in Couple Therapy Series.
