Adelphi’s MS in Environmental Studies offers the opportunity to engage in in-depth research on environmental changes and use this knowledge to shape policy, business, education, and employment practices.
By earning a master’s in environmental studies, you will be equipped to work in a broad array of fields. While many of our students go on to work in environmental health and safety, environmental management, and green energy, many of our students use their degree to pursue law or education. They also continue their education, pursuing studies in engineering or microbiology.

Examines the complex biological and cultural interactions of human populations through time with their varied environmental and geographic contexts.
Examines knowledge from the earth sciences, including geologic, hydrologic, climatic and diachronic aspects of Earth.
You can also choose from two optional specializations:
Focused on the necessary tools to understand and influence environmental decision-making related to business and economics in environmental fields.
Explores the diverse fields of toxicology and ecotoxicology, disease ecology and epidemiology.
