Ethical guidelines for the protection of human research subjects.
The basic principles underlying the acceptable conduct of research are respect for persons, beneficence, and justice. These principles are outlined in the “Belmont Report: Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research.”
We urge you to review the Belmont Report and other content from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Human Research Protections website.
Other materials related to human subjects protection are available upon request from Adelphi’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
