Your summer research would make a great story—and we want to share it! And what better way to tell everyone about your exciting scholarly or creative work than in your own voice?

Contest Guidelines

Create a 30-60 second video suitable for social media that tells the Adelphi community and beyond all about your project, covering the following topics:

  • Your name and major
  • The title and a description of your project, and where you conducted it
  • Why you decided to research this topic and what were you hoping to learn
  • Discuss your findings
  • Give a shout out to your faculty mentor and talk about how they supported you
  • Share photos and other footage that would add to your narrative
  • Highlight how this experience influenced your life and view of the professional field

The submission deadline is October 1, 2026

Contest Prizes

  • A $100 prize
  • All entries will be considered for feature on Adelphi and SPARK's social media accounts
  • An invitation to speak about their experience on AU PAWS Radio
  • A nomination to present their work at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research, which will take place April 12-14, 2027 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with all expenses paid by the SPARK Center
