Dear Adelphi Community,
As we continue to adapt to the changing circumstances created by COVID-19, we are making adjustments to our dining hours and locations to meet the preferences and needs of our current on-campus community. Based on feedback, we will expand the hours of the UC Dining Hall in the Ruth S. Harley University Center (UC) and reduce hours in other campus facilities.
Here are the changes you can expect to see on our Garden City campus beginning Monday, March 22.
Dining at the UC
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the new UC Dining Hall, we are expanding the hours of The Market, Back Bar Grill and 500 Degrees (pizza). We are also modifying the hours of Innovation Kitchen and Carved and Crafted (deli). The hours for these dining options are as follows:
The Market
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
500 Degrees
Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Back Bar Grill
Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, grilled items available at The Market for lunch and dinner
Innovation Kitchen
Monday through Friday, 12:00 noon–6:00 p.m.
Carved and Crafted
Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Additionally, in response to popular demand, the following offerings will now be available:
- Smoothie Bar at The Market: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Pasta Bar at The Market
- Made-to-Order Salad Bowls at Carved and Crafted
Starbucks’ hours will remain the same:
- Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The Ruth S. Harley University Center will continue to be open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
Dining at Post Hall
In response to shifting interests within our community, The Eatery Express at Post Hall will be open for late-night ordering only:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m.–12:00 midnight
- Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–12:00 midnight
The Panther Mart C-Store in Post Hall, with mobile ordering only, will be open:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m.–12:00 midnight
- Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–12:00 midnight
Due to low demand, Paws Café in the Nexus Building will be closed for the Spring 2021 semester.
Mobile ordering has been launched for Starbucks, Back Bar Grill, Smoothie Bar, Pasta Bar and Late Night at Post Hall. Be sure to download the Transact Mobile Ordering app to make use of this convenient service.
We continue to welcome your input to ensure we are meeting the needs of the Adelphi community. If you are a student, faculty or staff member who dines on campus, we invite you to participate in one of several virtual Dining Focus Groups on Tuesday, April 6, hosted by Chartwells, our dining services provider.
