Alice Hoffman '73, '02 (Hon.), takes middle-grade readers into the life of Anne Frank and her family before going into hiding.
It’s been an eventful year for Alice Hoffman ’73, ’02 (Hon.). She launched the Writers & Readers Festival this spring. Then Warner Bros. Movies announced it would be making a sequel to the film Practical Magic. And this fall, she published another novel, When We Flew Away: A Novel of Anne Frank Before the Diary.
Hoffman told People magazine, “Anne Frank’s story is more important than ever … We need to remember the damage hatred can do, and how love and hope can change the world.”
