Watch videos of Adelphi University Faculty describe their teaching philosophies.
Welcome to the Fall 2014 issue of the Faculty Teaching and Research Forum. This issue includes an article by Dr. Ditsapelo M. McFarland on her important research on cervical cancer screenings in the developing world and an article by Dr. Fran Redstone on strategies for mitigating the effects of cheating and plagiarism by students. Also inside are articles by FCPE staff about seminar offerings, faculty-FCPE collaborations and a newly-created course simulation designed by the FCPE for faculty in the Emergency Management program. Our ongoing ‘Faculty Voices on Teaching” series is also featured in this issue, enabling you to hear and see Adelphi faculty discuss in their own voices what makes their teaching so exciting and rich.
We hope you enjoy this semester’s issue and that it provides you with ideas for your own teaching. As always, feel free to contact us at fcpe@adelphi.edu with your stories, ideas and suggestions.
