Stanislav Bogdanov ’09, M.B.A. ’12, started his own educational technology company in March 2013. It has been growing at a steady pace and has garnered numerous accolades, including winning several coding competitions. Most recently, Mr. Bogdanov won a coding competition—a hackathon— hosted by Intel and sponsored by the United Nations Foundation. His app, adviceMAMA, was featured by Intel, and Mr. Bogdanov was interviewed for the Intel website. In March 2014, he placed second in another hackathon, winning $25,000 from New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Alice T. Crowe ’85, and Alicia M. Crowe ’85, identical twins, were featured in, “African American Entrepreneurs in the Nyacks 1800-Present,” an exhibit at the Historical Society of the Nyacks, honoring men and women who have contributed to the local economy. The exhibition is the beginning of the Nyack African American History Documentation Project, a three-year community-based initiative to discover, survey, record and ultimately place under archival care materials that reflect the history of African Americans in Nyack, New York, and the surrounding areas of Rockland County.
Pete Clarke, M.B.A. ’67, a Senior Olympics and USA Masters Track and Field events competitor, has accumulated hundreds of medals on the senior track-and-field circuit. The Houston Chronicle article, “Senior Runner Leaves the Youngsters in the Dust,” featured Mr. Clarke’s story. In 2013, Mr. Clarke was inducted into the Sewanhaka High School (Floral Park, NY) Hall of Fame
