Audition Workshops

Students will learn about the fundamental skills of auditioning (appropriate dress, how to introduce yourself and your pieces, and how to select effective material for yourself) to give those students interested in auditioning for theatre programs in college the advantage of knowing what colleges are looking for!

This is a participatory workshop, where interested students can get immediate feedback on their introductions and some of those prepared with a short contemporary monologue can have a working session with the acting coach. For the first time, students prepared with a monologue who may be interested will be seen in this workshop in consideration for a space in The Department of Theatre’s selective program.

Students will learn about the fundamental skills of auditioning (appropriate dress, how to introduce yourself and your pieces, and how to select effective material for yourself) to give those students interested in auditioning for music in college the advantage of knowing what colleges are looking for!

This is a participatory workshop, where interested students can get immediate feedback on their introductions and some of those prepared with a brief performance can have a working session with the music instructor. For the first time, students who may be interested will be seen in this workshop in consideration for a space in The Department of Music’s selective program.
