Health Services Travel Medical Clearance
Any student traveling abroad should do their due diligence to research the location they are going to regarding travel information and health requirements.
The Adelphi Health Services Center is able to provide limited vaccines; there is no fee for the consultation but if immunizations are required there will be a charge. Insurance companies do not generally reimburse for immunizations for travel. You will be provided with a receipt and you can request reimbursement on your own through your insurance company. Fees will be charged to your student account and payable upon receipt of service.
Please call 516.877.6000 to schedule an appointment with an RN to discuss further requirements or questions. It must be at least six weeks prior to your departure date. We do not recommend waiting until the last minute for this appointment. Often you may be required or recommended to have immunizations weeks prior to travel so they can effectively protect you.
