Adelphi University held the 35th Annual Golf Classic on September 21, 2023 at the North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, N.Y. The event raised more than $180,000 in support of Adelphi University and the Athletic Department.
This year’s honoree was accomplished executive and generous philanthropist, Kristopher Amplo ‘00, who is the owner and vice president of J.C. Steel Erectors and is a former men’s lacrosse student-athlete.

A member of Adelphi’s 1999 men’s lacrosse National Championship team, Kris Amplo ’00 donates to the University’s lacrosse program through the Amplo Family Foundation. Danny McCabe, director of athletics and campus recreation at Adelphi, praised Amplo’s generosity toward the Panthers lacrosse program.
