2026 Golf Classic Highlights

On June 15, 2026, Adelphi University’s 38th Annual Golf Classic brought together alumni, friends, sponsors and supporters for a memorable day of golf and philanthropy at Nassau Country Club.

The event raised more than $245,000 in support of the Adelphi Baseball Champions Fund and the Adelphi Fund, helping provide opportunities for current and future Panthers to learn, compete and succeed.

This year’s Golf Classic celebrated the enduring legacy and bright future of Adelphi Baseball. Guests heard inspiring stories from student-athletes and alumni about the lifelong connections, mentorship and sense of belonging that define the program. The event also highlighted the generosity of former Panther athletes Greg Nerko ’90, Gustave Scacco ’84, Thomas Lauritano ’82 and Kevin Hutzel ’14, whose leadership and commitment are helping strengthen the future of Adelphi Baseball for generations to come.

2025 Honoring Rakesh Gupta

On June 16, 2025, Adelphi’s 37th Annual Golf Classic raised funds to advance our mission of transforming students’ lives through extraordinary learning experiences, while honoring Rakesh Gupta, associate professor in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Through his mentorship, Gupta has shaped the lives of Adelphi students for nearly five decades. What better way to honor his dedication than a day of golf, networking and good times at Nassau Country Club supporting our talented students?

2024 Golf Classic Highlights

The 36th Annual Golf Classic was held on June 6, 2024 at Pine Hollow Club in East Norwich, New York. This year’s honoree was Mark S. Davis ‘85, audit and assurance partner at Deloitte and Touche, LLP.

Davis is a highly accomplished leader with 38 years of diverse management and executive experience with Deloitte, the world’s largest professional services firm. Davis received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from Adelphi University and is a past recipient of the University’s Accountant of the Year award.The Davis family also established the Mark S. Davis ‘85 and Family Future Leaders in Accounting Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will provide invaluable support to future generations of accounting students at Adelphi University.

2023 Golf Classic Highlights

We held the 35th Annual Golf Classic on September 21, 2023 at the North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, NY. The event raised more than $180,000 in support of Adelphi University and the Athletic Department. Check out photos capturing the highlights of the 2023 Golf Classic.
