FCPE Monthly: March 2026

Spring Forward

The Spring semester is now in full swing, albeit the snow, and the FCPE is happy to share a few opportunities, updates, and reminders as we continue working together to support your teaching, educational technology needs, and professional work.

Craft-Ed Workshops-to-Go Initiative

Deans, department chairs, program directors, faculty leaders, and administrators can partner with the FCPE to bring flexible, customized professional development directly to their departments or programs. We’re also happy to present at committee and faculty meetings.

Since the start of the Spring 2026 semester, the FCPE has facilitated numerous sessions on AI, inclusive teaching through Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and accessibility for several schools and colleges, as well as multiple faculty groups – with more scheduled. We welcome the opportunity to partner with you. Learn more on our website.

Interested in our monthly workshops, as well? Our events page is your go-to hub. New sessions are added regularly, so be sure to bookmark the page and check back often.

Moodle Course Archive

To ensure optimal performance of our learning management system, Moodle, IT will soon begin the process of archiving older Moodle course shells.

What is being archived?

Course shells from Spring 2024 and earlier semesters will be archived. The process will begin with the oldest content and move chronologically toward the Spring 2024 semester.

Will there be downtime?

No. This is a background maintenance process, and there will be no downtime for Moodle. Faculty and students can continue to use the platform as usual.

How do I request an archived course?

If you find that you need access to a Moodle course shell that has already been archived, you can submit a request to IT via the Moodle Course Archive Request Form. Please give yourself a few weeks lead time if you know you will need to import content from a specific older shell for an upcoming semester.
