Sexuality is ever present in couple therapy.

Some couple therapists feel unprepared to raise sexual issues because they have not had sufficient training in human sexuality. Others are unsure how to raise the issue if the couple doesn’t. What is proper timing? How does one proceed once the issue is raised? How does one explore expansive sexual issues that traditional couple training often ignores?

This workshop will describe how to create safe rapport to inquire about sexuality in couple therapy. It will include how to utilize expanded models of sexual response, how to conduct a culturally sensitive relational sexual history, and how to help couples become more erotically connected.

This workshop is part of the Program in Couple Therapy Series.
