Diagnostic Considerations In Making Relevant Therapeutic Decisions While Working With Couples
In this seminar we address approaches that work best as a function of the idiosyncratic qualities of every couple we see clinically.
Our seminar includes discussion of initial session approaches, the importance of diagnostic understanding of the couple as a unit as well as the individuals that make up the couple, the use of dreams and phantasy material, the application of cognitive approaches, and how to decide when to work with the couple and when to focus on the individuals that comprise the couple, as well as dealing with our own comfort in using our experience in session.
This workshop is part of the Program in Couple Therapy Series.
