Strategic Therapy With Couples
Strategic Couples Therapy was devised by Jay Haley, one of the three pioneering creators of Family Therapy.
Strategic Couples Therapy was devised by Jay Haley, one of the three pioneering creators of Family Therapy. This form of therapy is short-term, pragmatic, action-oriented, and solution-focused. Strategic Therapy prioritizes practical and present-focused interventions over deep exploration of past experiences. It focuses on identifying and altering problematic interaction patterns to solve specific problems within the relationship, and promote positive change. Led by an experienced instructor who worked closely with Jay Haley for several years, this course provides an educational and engaging introduction to Strategic Therapy, a unique therapeutic approach that promises to “help couples get better in 4-10 sessions.”
