Standard Deliveries
Ensure your mail address is formatted correctly. Letter-sized mail is delivered directly to student mailboxes in your specific residence hall.
Oversized and Tracked Deliveries
Packages and oversized letters from carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, or Amazon are delivered directly to Post Hall, Room 108.
- Pickup Notifications: Once processed, you will receive an official package notification sent to your Adelphi email with pickup instructions.
- What to Bring: To pick up your package, you must provide your Adelphi ID, full name, and the Package ID # found in your email notification.
Missing or Lost Packages
A delivery notice from a shipping company (like USPS, UPS, FedEx, or Amazon) does not mean your item is ready for pickup. Shippers occasionally deliver items to the wrong campus location, which can cause processing delays.
Please follow these guidelines before contacting us:
- Check your alerts: Only contact the mailroom if you have received an official notification to your Adelphi email from the Adelphi Mail Package Notification system.
- Have details ready: If your package is significantly delayed or missing after receiving our official alert, contact Mail Services and provide your tracking number.
Only if you received a notice from Adelphi University Mail Services package notification system should you contact the mail room and provide a tracking number.
A delivery notice from the shipper or delivery company does not necessarily mean it was delivered to the Post Hall Mail Room.
Packages are occasionally delivered to the wrong location, so you may receive a delay in the receipt of the package. Please, contact Mail Services to let us know about the missing item with the package tracking number available.
Zip Code Lookup: Use the official USPS ZIP Code Lookup tool by entering the street address, city, and state.
You can get domestic and international postage rates and fees at the USPS website.
- Domestic mail rate searches will need the destination ZIP code.
- International mail rate searches will need the name of the country.
Relevant operational and administrative management information is hosted on the Intranet; log in to the Adelphi Intranet under Mail Services to access.
- Distributes physical interoffice communications, files, and campus mailings between departments.
