Exploring Critical Issues hosted by President Robert A. Scott

Nursing is the latest focus in the award-winning series, Exploring Critical Issues, conceived and hosted by Adelphi University President Robert A. Scott. Known for its School of Nursing, Adelphi University has been offering accredited nursing degrees since 1944.
“Nursing is no longer a profession symbolized by a lady with a lamp—in fact, a growing percentage of today’s nursing school applicants are male, said Dr. Scott. “In this hour-long program, my guests and I explore the nursing profession in light of new technologies and skills, changes in the delivery of health care in America, and the education and training of future nurses.”
The hour-long “Nursing” broadcast will air over two weeks, beginning March 24 as follows: Saturdays, March 24 and March 31 at 10:30 p.m.; Sundays, March 25 and April 1 at 7:00 a.m.; Mondays, March 26 and April 2 at 10:30 p.m.; and Fridays, March 30 and April 6 at 1:00 p.m. “Nursing” can be viewed on Cablevision channels 29 (Long Island) and 137 (Connecticut and NY area outside of Long Island), Verizon FiOS channel 296 (including NY and Fairfield, CT) and simultaneously online at telecaretv.org.
