Meet Our Staff

Wendy Badala, MA ’20, serves as the Executive Director of International Services at Adelphi University, where she is the primary Designated School Official (DSO) and Responsible Officer (RO). In this role, she oversees university-wide compliance with federal regulations for international students and scholars across all campus locations.
With more than 20 years of experience in international education and immigration advisement, Wendy is a dedicated leader committed to supporting global student success. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Adelphi University and has extensive training in federal immigration policies, ensuring institutional compliance while fostering a welcoming environment for Adelphi’s international community.

Anna DiFede, MA ’23, is the International Student and Scholar Advisor in the Office of International Services. As a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), she provides comprehensive immigration services and support to international students and scholars.
Anna holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University and is passionate about international education. She has a love for travel and studied abroad in Italy during college. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, crocheting, painting, and crafting.

As the administrative assistant of international services and the center for international education, Rosemary Bradshaw provides professional support and services to the international student and scholar community. Beginning her journey at Adelphi in 2002, Rosemary has received the President’s Award for Excellence and serves as a Steward in the Local 153, OPEIU Union. Rosemary is dedicated to the development and success of the international student community.
Student Staff

As an international student from Kazakhstan, Aruzhan is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Aruzhan is a Mathematics major planning to work in the Data Science field following graduation. She is part of Honors College and serves as a Vice-President for the International Student Society (ISS). Aruzhan speaks Kazakh, Russian, English, German, and French. She likes to travel and meet new people all over the world.

Vaclav Borovicka is an international student from Prague, Czech Republic, dedicated to assisting and supporting current and incoming international students. He graduated from the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business at Adelphi University with a degree in Finance and will be pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics at Adelphi. During his undergraduate studies, Vaclav was part of the Willumstad Leadership Scholar Program, where he worked on a consulting project for the university. He also contributed to the Adelphi University Investment Fund, helping manage the university’s investment portfolio. A proud member of the Adelphi Men’s Soccer Team, Vaclav played over 2,500 minutes for the Panthers, demonstrating commitment and leadership both on and off the field. He is fluent in Czech and English and strives to lead by example while creating a welcoming environment for international students.

An international student from Sweden, Joacim is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. Joacim is pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics. As captain of the Adelphi Men’s Soccer Team, he describes himself as an “individual born in a small Swedish town and wants to lead with a good example in the world.” He is also part of Adelphi’s Leadership Fellows Program, where he engages in professional development and leadership activities. Joacim is fluent in Swedish and English, with intermediate proficiency in Portuguese and Spanish.

Jayata is an undergraduate Psychology student at Adelphi University. Originally from India, she brings a unique blend of traditional values and a modern perspective, adding warmth and thoughtful insight to every interaction. Driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior, Jayata often playfully says she chose Psychology “because I love reading minds.” Her passion is matched by practical experience, both in life and in work, which fuels her ability to connect meaningfully with others and radiate positivity in any setting.As an engaged member of the Adelphi community, Jayata is eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution—both as a dedicated student and a collaborative team member. She is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English, and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish.

Originally from Pakistan and of British heritage, Hamd is fluent in both English and Urdu. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with a minor in Theatre: Acting—an academic path that reflects his passion for both technology and the performing arts. As a member of one of Adelphi’s dance teams, Hamd brings creativity, enthusiasm, and energy to everything he does. He is approachable, responsive, and dedicated to providing individualized assistance to students, scholars, faculty, and staff. In addition to offering direct support, he contributes to administrative tasks with professionalism and care, always striving to make each interaction meaningful and welcoming.

As an international student from Georgia, Elizaveta is available to assist and support current and incoming international students. She is majoring in International Relations and is a member of both the Honors College and the Levermore Global Scholars Program. Elizaveta is passionate about global justice, democracy, and civic engagement, with plans to pursue a career in international organizations. She speaks Georgian, Russian, English, and Megrelian.
