Indian Ambassador Emeritus Chinmaya Gharekhan will give a talk about the UN Security Council with a brief Q&A to follow.
In a year filled with high-stakes diplomacy surrounding the conflict in Ukraine, Indian Ambassador Emeritus Chinmaya Gharekhan discusses whether the UN Security Council is still fit for service.
Ambassador Gharekhan spent nearly 25 years dealing with the UN in various capacities, including twice as the President of the UN Security Council and as the Personal Representative of the Secretary-General to the Security Council. He is also the author of The Horseshoe Table: An Inside View of the UN Security Council (Pearson Publishers, 2006).
