Holding the Frame: Navigating Politics, Permeability, and Fear in Therapy
Holding the Frame: Navigating Politics, Permeability, and Fear in Therapy is a dynamic seminar series designed for psychoanalysts and psychotherapists exploring the evolving challenges of clinical practice in today’s sociopolitical climate.
Through critical dialogue and case-based reflection, this series examines how therapists contend with increasing permeability between the external world and the analytic space. Topics include the impact of sociopolitical upheaval, fear, and polarization on both patient and analyst, and how these forces shape the therapeutic relationship, transference, and countertransference. Together, we will interrogate how the therapeutic frame can be held—or reimagined—amid the pressures of a charged and shifting societal landscape. This series invites practitioners to reflect on their roles not just as clinicians, but as witnesses and participants in a broader cultural milieu.
All Seminars are live and will be given on-line via Zoom only.
