Beyond Behavior: A Case Consultation/Study Group Seminar Exclusively for School Psychologists and School Social Workers
This eight-session seminar is designed for school psychologists and school social workers.
Throughout the sequence, participants will have the opportunity to further develop their evaluation, consultation, and clinical counseling skills, with an emphasis on enhancing their practice within the school setting.
Each session will focus on case material that participants will be invited to present. It is anticipated that participants will be immersed in a supportive collegial experience, that will encourage and facilitate personal, as well as professional development. Being mindful of self-care will be addressed as a vital necessity to further enhance the functioning of school based mental health practitioners, as they navigate the daily challenges that they face. Meaningful readings and discussions will be offered. Through an integration of well-developed psychodynamic and psychoeducational concepts, practical classroom interventions will be offered by our experienced faculty instructor.
