Offering professional support and essential resources to those affected by or concerned about breast cancer—empowering through education and advocacy.
Support Groups
Licensed social workers facilitate support groups (in English and Spanish) in-person and virtually for individuals affected by breast cancer.

We Are Here For You!
If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer, is experiencing difficulty navigating the health system, looking for vital community resources, or want to talk, please call our hotline at: 800.877.8077.
Since 1980, the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program has offered emotional support and information to people with and/or concerned about breast cancer.
Whether you seek assistance in English or en Español, we are here to answer your questions, match you with someone who understands what you are going through, and provide resources in the community you live in. Our licensed social workers and volunteers are just a call away.
Educate, Support, Empower and Advocate
Our breast cancer hotline is here to help, listen and support you and your loved ones 365 days a year. We also provide individual counseling and support groups by licensed professionals who help people cope with some of life’s greatest challenges.
Hotline
Our toll-free Breast Cancer Hotline is for New Yorkers with and/or concerned about breast cancer and is staffed by professionally trained and supervised volunteers, all of whom are breast cancer survivors. The Hotline is available daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and texting is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Contact us today by phone at 800.877.8077 or by text at 516.262.3263.
Professional Counseling and Support Groups
Licensed Social Workers help to empower individuals and their families to navigate through a breast cancer diagnosis. Individual and family counseling is provided by bilingual social workers (English and Spanish languages). Our professional staff also facilitates comprehensive support groups in both languages throughout the year. All services are provided both in-person and virtually, free of charge.
Sisters United in Health
Sisters United in Health/Hermanas Unidas en la Salud provides individuals of color and minorities on Long Island with culturally sensitive breast health information through workshops, health and wellness events, and education. Our Bilingual Outreach Coordinator facilitates referrals for low-cost or free mammograms to help ensure that all individuals receive the services needed, regardless of insurance and/or immigration status. Bilingual educational workshops are available across Long Island, free of charge.
Having had breast cancer, I know how lonely and scary it can be. By being part of Adelphi’s Hotline and Support Program, I feel I’m making it a little less lonely and scary for others with breast cancer.
